KS4 Results August 2018
Students at City Heights E-ACT Academy received their first set of GCSE results in August 2018. 43% of students at the academy achieved at least a grade 4 in both their English and their Maths GCSEs with 23% achieving at least a grade 5 in both.
62% of students were entered for the English Baccalaureate, a measure of how many students study English, Maths, at least two Sciences, a foreign language and either History or Geography. Students achieved an average points score in these subjects of 3.57.
As the academy’s founding cohort of Year 11 students, there has been some notable success stories. Twins Lorenn and Lea Evans achieved wonderful sets of results with both girls getting a grade 9 in English and in History. Deputy Head Boy Tiago Nobrega also achieved an excellent set of results including a grade 9 in Physics. Faisal Abdi secured a strong set of results achieving grade 9s in Maths and Biology with a grade 8 in Physics, allowing him to pursue his dream of studying Science at A level.
